I attempted the download of the full version of this documentary, resulting in a ZIP compressed archive of 4.94GB filesize.
This ZIP archive however fails to open using the Windows 10 built in decompression utility.
Upon further examining the file, there appears to be an error with the archive.
I was able to overcome the error using the free 7zip utility, available from 7-zip.org
The resulting file, accompanied by some MacOS filesystem metafiles, is called:
TSOB_MASTER E-VO -- NOsubs-5.1.mp4
The filesize is 4.96GB which is perfectly reasonable for a Full HD (1080p) video size of this duration.
There are, however, two issues with this file.
1.) As the filename already reveals, subtitles are not included. Neither hard subs, nor soft subs (selectable) are present in the file! There is no separate subtitle file available within the archive either. This is NOT what was promised and as the documentairy consists out of French, Flemish, Dutch and English audio commentairy, the absense of subtitles is an inconvieniance to all.
2.) The 5.1 mix of the audiotrack has the audio commentairy only or mainly on the left audio channel when downmixed to stereo, this appears to be the case when only using the front left and right audio channel, but also when downmixing the complete 5.1 audio to 2.0 stereo. For a documentairy about audio, this is very poor presentation.
On a side note, the music / sound effects are correctly downmixed to stereo 2.0, regardless of the method used.
I would highly appreciate an updated version of the download for this documentairy with above issues fixed.
Thank you.
